Teen Center Christmas Party and What to Expect in 2013

Whew! This holiday season came like a whirlwind so while we all settle back into our regular routines, put the lights and tinsel away, and start working on our New Year's resolutions, we at the Teen Center thought we would update you on our holiday happenings!

Every year the Teen Center hosts a Christmas party for our youth, which includes great food, games, caroling, presents and, of course, a visit from the man himself (no, no not Kozy!) Santa!!  It is a great time for the kids to celebrate the holiday with their Teen Center family and really get into the Christmas spirit!  This year we had a great turn out and even some of our volunteers got their pictures taken with the guest of honor, Santa Claus.

Big thanks to Kozy and all our volunteers who helped get food and wrapped presents! Most of all, though, thanks to our youth who really made it an enjoyable day and a party to remember! Hope you enjoy some of the pictures from the party. Special thanks to our Santa! Can you guess who it was??

Now as the Teen Center wraps up the holidays and heads into this new year of 2013, we have even more events and weekly activities to look forward to!  Every Tuesday we hold Tournament Tuesday where the kids can participate in sporting or gaming tournaments doing anything from basketball to volleyball to pool or even foosball.  Also on Tuesdays, Dave leads a guys group and Mackensey leads a girls group where both the guys and girls can spend time discussing issues like self esteem, faith, social pressures, and other important topics.   Thursdays Mackensey leads a baking session with the kids teaching them how to make delicious desserts!  We will also be holding a lock-in for both the high school and middle school students this month.  In February we will participate in our Winter Retreat, which is a very exciting event for students where they can build strong friendships and grow in faith!

2013 will be an exciting time for the Teen Center so we hope that you will get involved and help us make this center an even better place for our youth!
