Ronald McDonald House

Here at the Teen Center, along with providing a safe environment for our teens we strive to instill in these young adults the importance of giving back and serving others.  Therefore, we try and take any opportunity to practice these skills through different community service projects.  In March, we were able to take a handful of teens to the Ronald McDonald House, which is a housing establishment for families whose child is seriously ill in the hospital.  Ronald McDonald House makes it possible for these families to have a "home away from home" so that they can remain close to the hospital while their child receives the necessary treatment.  We had the privilege of cooking and serving a meal of spaghetti and salad at our local Ronald McDonald House. Unfortunately there were not very many families that night, but it was still a special and memorable experience for the youth.

We are planning another trip to the Ronald McDonald House for next Tuesday!

Thank you,

Teen Center Staff
