A Day at the Shedd Aquarium

One of the great things about living in Chicago is that the city offers many opportunities for teens to have fun at a very low cost.  One of these opportunities is the free days at the Shedd Aquarium!  Hoping to take advantage of the last free day this spring, the Teen Center took around ten middle school students to the Shedd Aquarium.  Unfortunately many people had the same idea!  While the line to get into the aquarium took around three hours, we were eventually able to see many different sea animals!  During the long wait, we also were able to take a stroll along the lake and around Grant Park.  Even though the day was exhausting, we all walked away with smiles on our faces, pride that we had conquered the never-ending line (which the Chicago Sun-Times actually published a story about the very next day), and excitement from all the interesting animals we were able to see.  Here are some pictures from our trip!

I'm sure there are many more fun-filled trips coming up this spring and summer so stay tuned!
